What is more important for our world?

One question I keep asking myself is what is more important to this world, materialistic growth or intellectual growth.

A growth of heart, mind and soul or a growth of technology, buildings, vehicles and human bodies.

I know the answer lies somewhere in between but if there’s a chance to find even an unclear winner, I’d love to explore that. Once that clarity is there, the people who want to help the world can act in that direction.

Another such question is to find a transactional value of time. Once we reach a certain level where we are earning a certain amount of material success in exchange of our time, we tend to ignore other things.

Is it okay to just keep making more when the time is right and ignore other parts of life in search for a better, secure future?

Is there ever a time to try and find a meaning of life?

Or is it just a futile exercise deviced by thinkers and philosophers to keep common normal people busy just like religious and political ideologies while they achieve their personal agendas.

Or is it a better idea to just live your life everyday while sacrificing some part of your material success to understand your existence and purpose better and ignore worrying too much about the future which might never be there.
